We don't have whatever you guys have here in Australia... In fact it's different per state. Here in Queenslnd, we have at the end of year 12, the QCS, which is a huge general knowledge quiz (VERY HARD) that runs over two days. There's 2 Multi choice papers, 1 Short responce, and 1 Writing Task, and then they mix that with your overall marks from your 5-6 core subjects to determine your OP (Overall Position in Queensland). Your OP is from 1-25, 1 being the highest and understandably very hard to obtain.
I, never being very interested in High school, had over half the year off in "sick" days (around 80-100), and never applied myself to my work. In the end, I didn't do as well as I should've, but I still did fairly well considering I have always been fairly bright.
These are my Overall scores and my OP:
English: B
Mathematics A: B
Tourism Studies: A
Hospitality Studies: C
Art: C (she lost one of my pieces before I was graded and failed me for it, if it wasn't for that I would've had another A)

As for my OP score, I got a 12. My QCS test was quite good, most people in Queensland averaged a D for the test, I however, somehow acheived a B. Needless to say I was very pleased and surprised.

Just thought I'd add my 2 cents worth, and share the procedure to those who don't know much about the crappy education system in Australia Laughing
